Late Night Opening: Wednesday's 12:00 - 19:30 (April - September) Dogs Trust Ballymena is the only rehoming centre in Northern Ireland and is the smallest centre with 23 kennels which can house between 40-50 dogs and puppies. We have a variety of gorgeous dogs so it is always worth a visit to the centre. Everyone who visits the centre and is looking for a dog is required to fill in a home finding questionnaire  to help us match the correct dog to the home. We have a dedicated and enthusiastic team of 11 centre staff, 2 maintenance staff and 3 campaigns officers, a Education Officer and a Supporter Relations Officer. The management staff consist of centre Manager Oonagh who has worked for Dogs Trust Ballymena for 25years, Assistant Manager Ops Marbeth who also worked at  the centre for 25years and Assistant Manager Admin Sarah who started of as a volunteer and has worked at the centre for 8years.

In reception we have Paula and Julie who split the role between them and Julie is also a part time Canine Carer. Julie has worked at the centre for 10 years and Paula joined the team in 2007. We have a Training and Behaviour Advisor (TBA) Maura who assesses all the dogs in the centre and comes up with training programmes for them. Maura is also there to assist with any problems that any of the centre’s ex-residents may be having in their new homes. Maura has been part of the team for 20years, starting off as a canine carer. We have Laura and Sandra who are our longest serving canine carers and have worked at the centre for 10years, both starting off as volunteers. Steven started working at Dogs Trust in 2010 as part of scheme and then got a full time position is 2011. We have 2 part time canine carers Michael and Gemma Dogs Trust Ballymena introduces Dog School. Dog School promotes positive and modern training techniques all over Northern Ireland and all dogs are welcome to our courses.

He also organises the annual Fun Day and helps with the social media coverage for the rehoming centre too!
