Cat Rescue Orlando Florida

The decision to relinquish at pet is a difficult one.  Often animal behavior counseling, training classes or appropriate veterinary care can help keep a pet in their home.  We encourage you to exhaust all other resources before making this decision. We also know that relinquishment is sometimes the best choice for the animal. If there is no other option available to you but giving up legal rights to your pet, the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando will accept your dog or cat, provide veterinary medical care, nourishing food, water, and shelter. Our SAFER® certified team determines the adaptability of every pet. Making an appointment to relinquish your pet is preferred. This will reduce your wait time,  and increase the chances of your pet being adopted into a fitting home by allowing our counselors to obtain important information about the pet’s needs and behaviors.  You may complete the surrender forms prior by printing them online (Dog Form | On average we invest $254 in each adoptable cat and $315 in each adoptable dog in our care.
There is no fee to surrender a pet but we do ask for a meaningful donation and suggest a minimum of $50 for each animal. Any amount makes an impact.  You may donate online or in-person. The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando has two locations that offer the same services. Please be sure to call the location most convenient to you to make your appointment. We adopt cats to permanent homes only, and all our cats are spayed or neutered to prevent continued overpopulation.
Young kittens leave with a certificate so this procedure can be done safely when they are old enough. Cats at the shelter are routinely vaccinated, wormed andand those more than three months old are tested for feline leukemia  We place about 600 cats and kittens in new homes every year.  know we have one or two who would add joy to your home.  Drawn by our friend Kylie Thompson was turning 9 and Alexa was turning 6 years old.  They wanted to have a party to celebrate their birthdays but told their mother (Lisa) that they would prefer that their friends bring donations for CPS rather than bring birthday gifts for them.  have always loved animals.  How unselfish and kind is that?!!! brought all the "gifts" they received to the shelter.  kitty litter, food, toys, cleaning supplies, etc.  We had to get carts to bring itAnd then they stayed and played with the cats for quite a while.  you can see, everyone had a great time. you Larissa, Alexa, Lisa, and all your very generous friends!
