According to Tracy police, a woman in a Honda Pilot was westbound on Schulte Road just west of Evendale Crossing when her car veered to right off the road, striking a tree beside the sidewalk. The impact ripped the tree from the ground and snapped the trunk. The SUV flipped onto its roof, and the tree fell on top of it, blocking both lanes of westbound Schulte Road.

The driver was able to exit the SUV and was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The road was closed for about 45 minutes as a city crew cut the tree away from the car.Tracy PressThe westbound lanes of Schulte Road are closed at Edenvale Crossing to Macarthur Drive because of a car accident.
