EDINBURG –The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics unveiled its 2015-16 basketball promotional schedule on Friday, with exciting giveaways and themed nights for 22 of its 24 home games. UTRGV Athletics strives to provide affordable, family friendly entertainment and a memorable experience for all fans. Additionally, students can earn exclusive UTRGV prizes for checking in at athletic events and interacting on social media through the V Fan Rewards mobile app, available for download on the App Store and Google Play. Monday, Nov. 16 – Season of Giving Women's Basketball vs. Concordia, 7 p.m. Pick up your Season of Giving punch card at the UTRGV Fieldhouse to receive appreciation gifts each time you donate four canned food items or a coat during this week.

The first time you donate, you will receive the first punch on your card and free general admission for non-students.

Fans that were not in attendance on Monday can still pick up their punch card at this game and get the initial appreciation item. Friday, Nov. 20 – Season of Giving/ Church's Chicken Night Men's Basketball vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville, 7 p.m. The third time fans donate four canned food items or a coat they will receive an exclusive UTRGV novelty item, while supplies last, as well as a final punch on their Season of Giving card. Fans can still pick up their punch card at this game and get the initial incentive or, if they've been to one of the first two games, the second incentive, if available. There will be a pregame rally starting at 5 p.m. where CBS4 will be broadcasting live from the UTRGV Fieldhouse and showing fans on TV. Additionally, Church's Chicken and its food truck will be present with food available for purchase. Sunday, Nov. 22 – All Faith DayMen's Basketball vs. Portland State, 2 p.m. UTRGV Athletics welcomes religious groups in the Rio Grande Valley to enjoy a discounted group rate of $5 per person.

Tuesday, Nov. 24 – $2 TuesdayMen's Basketball vs. Southeast Missouri State, 7 p.m. Join us for $2 Tuesday and take advantage of discounted venue prices. Fans can purchase general admission tickets for just $2 and enjoy all concession stand items for $2 or less. Sunday, Dec. 6 – First Responders Night Men's Basketball vs. Angelo State, 2 p.m. UTRGV Athletics would like to thank firefighters, police officers, coast guard, and EMS personnel for their service by offering free admission to this game. Families and guests of first responders can also take advantage of $5 discounted tickets. Additionally, one lucky fan in attendance will win a car wash card, courtesy of Blue Wave Express. Friday, Dec. 11 – Adopt an Angel/ Photos with Santa Men's Basketball vs. Tennessee-Martin, 7 p.m. UTRGV Athletics will grant free general admission to nonstudents that donate a new, unwrapped toy and provide a free concession stand item to enrolled UTRGV students that donate as well.

All toy donations will go toward the Salvation Army's Adopt an Angel program. Additionally, there will be free photos with Santa from 6 to 7 p.m. for fans at the UTRGV Fieldhosue courtyard. Thursday, Dec. 17 – UTRGV #FirstClass CelebrationWomen's Basketball vs. Incarnate Word, 7 p.m. Congratulations UTRGV #FirstClass! We invite fall UTRGV graduates to be recognized during the women's basketball game. The first 50 graduates to arrive will receive a free 2015 class keychain. Wednesday, Dec. 30 – Chamber NightWomen's Basketball vs. Evangel, 7 p.m. UTRGV Athletics welcomes all Chamber of Commerce members in the Rio Grande Valley with free general admission. Saturday, Jan. 2 – Ring in the New Year with UTRGV AthleticsMen's Basketball vs. Our Lady of the Lake, 7 p.m. Celebrate 2016 with UTRGV men's basketball! Fans in attendance will be entered into a free raffle, which will include the opportunity to win a Netflix gift card, a BluRay DVD player, or a year's worth of free car washes from Blue Wave Express.

The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free Western Athletic Conference t-shirt. Saturday, Jan. 9 – Tim's CoatsWomen's Basketball vs. Utah Valley, 7 p.m. Donate a useable coat for free general admission to the game. Enrolled UTRGV students will receive a free concession stand item for donating a coat. There will also be an exclusive Winter Texan raffle for free rounds of golf at Palm View Golf Course. Thursday, Jan. 21 – Residence Life/Back to School NightWomen's Basketball vs. CSU Bakersfield, 7 p.m. All UTRGV residence halls are invited to join us for a spirit challenge to see which dorm has the most pride. The first 100 UTRGV students in attendance will receive a free drawstring bag. Students can also enter a raffle to win a UTRGV gift basket with back-to-school essentials. Saturday, Jan. 30 – WAC Tournament Championship Rematch Women's Basketball vs. New Mexico State, 7 p.m. There is some unfinished business in the WAC. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a free "Unfinished Business" t-shirt as women's basketball takes on rival New Mexico State in a rematch of last year's WAC Tournament Championship game. Thursday, Feb. 4 – Academy Sports + Outdoors NightMen's Basketball vs. Utah Valley, 7 p.m. Show your spirit in the stands as the first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free rally towel, courtesy of Academy Sports + Outdoors.

Saturday, Feb. 13 – Vaqueros for the Cure Women's Basketball vs. Missouri-Kansas City, 7 p.m. Think pink for breast cancer awareness! Purchase your "Vaqueros for the Cure" t-shirt for just $10 to show your support of breast cancer research and UTRGV Athletics. All t-shirt sales proceeds go to the Renaissance Cancer Foundation. Fans in attendance will also have the chance to win a pink themed gift basket, dinner for two, or a sweet pastries basket from Corner Bakery Café. Thursday, Feb. 18 – Challenge of the Deans/Faculty & Staff Appreciation NightMen's Basketball vs. Seattle U, 7 p.m. Deans from different colleges across campus, along with a student from their colleges, will compete in a free throw shooting competition at halftime, with the winner receiving a trophy. UTRGV Athletics would like to show their appreciation for all UTRGV faculty and staff by offering free admission as well as free popcorn with a valid work ID. One lucky fan in attendance will win a Nikon Cool Pix L610 digital camera.
