We are extremely proud to be a part of this project. Fingers crossed for all participants of Poland Business Run! – the designers stated. The idea of Leader’s Yellow T-Shirt originates from the Tour de France bicycle race where the general classification winner gets such a prestigious distinction. Yet, in Poland Business Run everyone is a winner because thanks to the competing teams next amputees will be able to get back on their feet. Poland Business Run is the biggest charity business relay run which helps amputees make their dreams come true. From the first edition of the run it was possible to change lives of over 60 people who now support other people in need. The run was initiated in 2011 in Krakow by UBS and Radisson Blu Hotel Kraków, however already its first edition was supported by Luxoft and Municipality of Krakow and Sports Infrastructure Management Board. From then on the initiative has become a part and parcel of the sports events calendar in partnering cities. The purpose of this initiative is not only to support people with mobility impairment, but also to promote active life style and integration of local community with business.
This year, Poland Business Run is celebrating its 5th birthday and on this occasion it is passing the baton also to local organizations through which funds collected in the run will reach next people in need. This May, 2016, thousands will be taking part in Run Your City, which is a national run campaign benefiting Amputee Blade Runners(ABR). The campaign is designed to get people, companies, run groups, classes, and teams involved in raising awareness for amputee athletes. Through the Run Your City campaign, participants will have the ability to be a part of Amputee Blade Runners and raise money for our next set of athletes. You can choose to run by yourself, with a group, a team, co-worker, or just with a few friends. Since Amputee Blade Runners is a team, we encourage you to make this a group event. The RYC Campaign is based around individuals hosting social runs in their cities and inviting others to join in the campaign to raise money & awareness. Amputee Blade Runners is an organization based upon helping amputees regain their active lifestyle, so this campaign was created to get individuals involved in the same activity that many of our team members practice....2015 was our 1st year to host the RYC Campaign and we had 20 social run locations around the country, raising just over $12,000.  That amount of money allowed our organization to help 4 amputees realize their dreams of being active again and this year we have higher goals.  Our goal is to have 50 social run locations around the country & raise $25,000, which would allow us to help 9 amputees receive free running legs! When do I run?  The RYC Campaign will take place during the WHOLE month of May, so there will be plenty of options to either choose a social run in your area, or host one yourself by clicking here:  Host Run Your City EventWhere do I run?
That's the beauty of this campaign. You can run where you live. Find someone either hosting a run during the month of May or grab some friends & start a run of your own! How do I sign up? We will be launching our Event page on February 1st for individuals to sign up for the Run Your City Campaign. How much does it cost to join the RYC Campaign? It doesn't cost anything, but we do encourage a $5 online donation so we can reach our goal of raising $25,000 to help more amputees Run Free! Are these runs sanctioned? No, these runs will not be sanctioned or supported, but rather just a good social run to raise money & awareness for amputee athletes! What will be the distance for each run?  The distance for each run will be determined by the individual or group hosting the social run in your area. How to Host a Run for the RYC Campaign? Please fill out the the above form & our team will post the info onto our event page once it launches on February 1st.How many people do I need to host a social run?
