How Much Does Pods Cost To Move Out Of State
I took Comet for a day trip on Friday. Comet is a sweet 6-year old black lab-mix and has been waiting to be adopted since February. We had a nice time on our day trip - Comet is a wonderful companion! There wasn't any reason I could see as to why Comet has been overlooked at the animal shelter - he is a good-natured dog who loves to play and enjoys being around people. First stop on our da...y trip was my fenced-in yard. I let Comet explore and sniff the area and then we played fetch with a tennis ball. Comet is a great fetch player and loves to run! After playing and sniffing, we went for a two-mile hike at West Rock. We headed down to Lake Wintergreen and Comet walked right in the water for a drink and to cool off. He seems to like being in the water :) We passed a family with a young child and a dog and Comet was well behaved - he had more interest in the lake than the people or dog. Sometimes Comet pulls on the leash, but as he gets more tired, he is gentler to walk. I think playing fetch beforehand made the hike a bit easier for me.
After West Rock, I took Comet to the Hamden Farmer's Market. He walked around with me as I purchased fruits and veggies and was great with all the people! A young girl wanted to meet Comet and he was very gentle, letting her pet him on his side for a few minutes. Comet and I sat down in the shade after walking around to all the vendors and he was so relaxed lying in the grass! Final stop on our day trip was Amity Bike. We spent most of our time in the workshop area with the mechanics. Comet was well mannered and everyone loved meeting him and having him in the bike shop! A few customers stopped to give him some pets and Comet was so happy! Two other dogs came into the bike shop while we were there and Comet was fine - he was a little curious, trying to look at them through the doorway, but didn't focus too much on them and he didn't bark or whine. The whole time at the bike shop Comet was calm, sociable, and content. It was a fantastic morning with Comet! I can't stress enough how friendly he is and how good he is meeting new people;
also, I love Comet's playful side. Who doesn't love watching a dog run around happily, playing fetch? Please share adoptable Comet until he is adopted - whoever adopts him will be very happy :) PS - Comet rides well in the car, too :) Look who was recently adopted from the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter - sweet BISCUIT! We are so happy for her!
