We have many volunteer opportunities available: Mobile Adoptions, shelter assistants, fund-raising, and developmental.  Before volunteering, you must first attend one of our orientations.  These are held the first Sunday of every month at 2PM here at the shelter, unless it is a holiday weekend. Orientation dates are listed on our calendar under our events page. DOG OF THE WEEK Hello my name Dusty. I am a very handsome and distinguished looking 4 year old fellow. I am a Lab mix with beautiful charcoal fur. I am calm, gentle, and quite a gentleman. I am well mannered, and I am good with other dogs and I just love people. Don't let my gray muzzle deter you; it is just more distinguishing. Lots of dogs begin graying a little prematurely, some as early as 3! I am ready your ready made companion; I won't chew furniture, I will not bark too much, and I will be happy to go with you on your walks and car rides. I want very badly to feel that I belong and that I have my own personal people to keep happy and watch over.

I am a lost pet, so don't think I am here because I did something bad, it is just not in my bones to do bad things. We have cats and kittens for adoption at the Arnold PetSmart. These cats are housed there so that they can get more visibility in the community and have better chances at finding their forever homes! Our dogs travel every Saturday to area PetSmarts and Petcos with our mobile adoptions. This helps get these pups more visibility in the community, and gives them more of a chance at finding their forever homes.
