It is in the small town of El Tunco, near the coastal city of La Libertad. It's about a one hour's drive from San Salvador.

We arrived around 10:00 p.m. and the service was great. The hotel is a gated property, with a guard out front,... Rooms are beautiful with a fine restaurant on site in a peaceful, tranquil setting and yet it is located just a walk (literally) around the corner to the fun surfer town of El Tunco. This is the nicest property, in my opinion, in El Tunco. That said, remember that El Tunco is a surfing community with many inexpensive hotels and hostels available. If you're looking for a nice, comfortable, pretty hotel at Tunco beach, this is your go to place. It was the only one that seemed clean, with comfy rooms with a/c. When walking along the shore at Tunco beach, you get a chance to see the other hotels, and none compare to Boca Olas. Breakfast was included in the room... Came down from San Sal for a short break from work and found a very peaceful retreat located at a convenient distance from the town and the main beach. There are cheaper options but they won't be nearly as nice as this - the pool area really is lovely and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
