I ordered these after tying to insert the plastic glide inserts (very thin plastic material) bought at home depot (not forever glides). The home depot ones kept cracking and were hard to fit into the chair legs. These forever glides from Sporty worked great for me because the legs on my wrought iron chairs for some reason were not perfectly circular. There was some damage to some legs so they weren't perfectly circular. The forever glides design resolved this issue since there is a foam insert which is more forgiving.
