Have never been before and am possibly looking at Las Vegas last week of March (week of Mar 26). How is the weather typically and do the hotels have their outdoor pools available? Highly variable weather end of March. Pools will be open. Most likely scenario is that you get a mix of pool days and too-cool-for-pool days. I was there one end of March and it was in the 50s and windy. Another year it was in the low 70s at the beginning of March. If you want guaranteed pool weather, I would wait a few more weeks. Of course you will need a coat at night, and possibly a sweater during the day.It will be pool weather .... for you. We've been a few times in February and had pool days. End of March will be nice! Some years I was able to swim in March, other years I was only able to sunbathe/use the Jacuzzi and still other years I could not do any of those things because it was so cool/cloudy/windy.

Think layers when you are packing- tops with some long/some short sleeves, a sweater/hoodie and a jacket. This way you will be prepared for any kind of temps without having to bring a lot of different kinds of clothing. As you know, it so depends. We have been the 3d week in April and it has not been pool weather. Maybe sitting outside in the afternoon, wear sunlasses, take jacket off. Other years, just started getting Hot and yes you could go I . Just better weather then Chicago,usually. I have been three times in March. The first time it was windy and cold. If you enjoy being around the pool in 70F, go for it. Some pools will be open, you'll want to check with your hotel directly. I think it should be fine. Most pools actually open mid or early march. The only thing you may have to contend with is the wind.

The southwest can get awfully nasty that time of year.Yes, you may get weather warm enough to spend some time by the pool, but it may also be cold, rainy or windy. I've been in mid to late March the last two years, and it wasn't great pool weather by any means. Still too cold for me, if going to the pool is important to you wait until late May..... March and April are very hit and miss for pool weather. We went over Easter in 2010 (April 4th that year I believe) and I was mighty upset to learn it hit 80 degrees in NY, and I was freezing my butt off in cold, windy Las Vegas!!! If being at the pool is a huge factor, I would wait until May at least to ensure good weather for it. I really prefer Vegas when it is hot. I was at MGM in March 2010, my wife hung out by the pool and had some cocktails. Some people went in the pool, but we enjoyed the warmth of the sun and just read magazines. I was rather warm. I'm sure whatever weather service you checked was lying, and it will be as warm as you want it to be.

We were able to use the hot tub, but the weather was just a little too cool for us for the main pool. The wind can definitely be a factor.The hotels with the big pool complexes will have a pool open but generally all the features (waterslides, lazy rivers, etc.) won't open until mid to late May. I was there late March last year and didn't go near the pool, too cool. My friend arrived the day after I left and baked. Sat at the pool every day. So, it's hit or miss.
