Different kennel clubs may not include the same breeds in their Gundog Group. Some major kennel clubs do not have a Gundog Group, placing gundog breeds into other groups. The Gundog Group is used by The Kennel Club (UK),[1] the Australian National Kennel Council,[2] the New Zealand Kennel Club,[3] and the United Kennel Club (US). The international kennel club federation, the Fédération Cynologique Internationale, lists most gundog breeds by their hunting style or function in Group 8 Retrievers - Flushing Dogs - Water Dogs.
