Having just had my third child and with two other children under 6, I needed something that was going to be easy to get Elijah into and out of the car seat. Another important factor was the fit as we required something that would fit alongside the other two car seats. Between school, kindy and after school activities, pick up’s and drop off’s, some days I feel like I spend more time in the car then out of it. With my other two children’s baby car seats, we had the original capsules that we hired but they didn’t offer a great deal of head support which was concerning. With this seat, there is an infant seat insert and the Air Protect System which is an extra side impact support system to shield your child’s head from any side impact, which is a big plus.
Elijah fits comfortably into the seat with so much support and protection, and sleeps soundly in there. One of the stand out features for me in the Maxi-Cosi Hera was the unbelievable softness of the fabric and padding that is used in the seat. It’s so plush and what’s better it’s a unique fabric that draws moisture away from bubs skin and allowing them to keep cool. This was one of the winning factors for me as we were given a black seat and being a Brisbane mum I immediately thought Elijah was going to get sweaty, but no issue there thanks to this material. The harness is easy to fit over Elijah’s shoulders and secures tightly with an audible click which is reassuring that it is secure. The car seat is easy to spot clean and is removable for a full wash in the washing machine. I positioned the car seat in the forward facing position for interest’s sake (I’m wanting to keep him rear facing for as long as possible) and it appears as equally as comfortable and secure.
The Maxi Cosi Hera is compatible withthe ISOFIX system. I unfortunately don’t have this available in my car but it is a time saving and safety mechanism that secures the car seat to your car without the need to use the seatbelt.  You can safely lock and secure the car seat into place and know that is always correctly installed.  Used Prom Dresses OrlandoYou can read more about iso-fix here.Outdoor Furniture Fishbecks Installation is super easy and this youtube video demonstrates that.Target Closet Curtains This seat is suitable for Elijah up to 4 years old, which makes it a very economical way to ensure your precious cargo is safe and sound for the first 4 years of their lives.  I highly recommend considering the Maxi-Cosi Hera as baby/toddler car seat option.
Features (taken from the Maxi-Cosi website): The Maxi-Cosi Hera can be purchased from a variety of baby stores across Australia.  No financial payment was recieved to complete this reviewNow that Scarlett has entered her toddler years (she’s almost 16 months – and I still can’t believe it!), we knew a car seat upgrade was in order. Thanks to Maxi-Cosi, Scarlett got one snazzy convertible car seat, and as parents we got piece of mind knowing that she’s in an unbelievably safe “big kid” car seat. Meet the Maxi-Cosi Ribble Knit Pria 85. The new convertible car seat collection is available on the ever-popular Pria 85 with textured fabrics and tailored styling. The premium fabric features classic piping and ribble knit texture, and comes in six great colors, all named for exotic travel destinations across the globe like Cairo Linen, Manhattan Black, Havana Pink and Bali Blue. The fact that this convertible car seat is safe is apparent from the moment you unbox it.
There is extensive padding, the build is solid, and the harness and straps are well-designed and don’t slide out of place (even when facing our little wiggle worm.) The Pria 85 also has impressive side impact protection provided by Air Protect® technology which protects your child where they need it most: around their head. Perfect for your big kids too: The Ribble Knit Collection allows for children up to 85 pounds (the highest weight range offered by a convertible car seat) to ride safely with Air Protect and has premium padding for maximum comfort. You can keep your little one safe in the seat from 14 to 40 pounds sitting rear-facing (Scarlett pictured here rear-facing) and 22 to 85 pounds forward-facing. It’s obvious this seat is comfortable and secure. I’m amazed at how easily Scarlett can go from playing with a book or a toy to sleeping happily in her seat. The Pria 85 even has a built-in cup holder which Scarlett figured out, and fell in love with, right away.
The entire first day in her new car seat, we could hear Scarlett taking her sippy cup in and out of the cup holder. It was quite the discovery for her! Just like the other Pria 85s, the Ribble Knit Collection is a snap to clean – the fabric is easily removable (without taking out the harness) and can be tossed into the washer/dryer (no taking apart of the car seat required!) The Pria 85 is specially designed to fit better in your car, allowing more room for your passengers to stretch out in the front seats. My bigger SUV fits most standard convertible car seats, but my husband’s hybrid is often a tighter fit. Not with the Pria 85; there’s plenty of room in his smaller sedan for this car seat, without compromising her comfort or safety. All Maxi-Cosi car seats are approved for use on airplanes, so grab your Ribble Knit and explore the collection’s inspired cities like New Delhi, Manhattan and Mallorca! This special edition retails for $324.99 and is available at major Maxi-Cosi retailers like Babies”R”Us, Nordstrom, and Buy Buy Baby.
