I suggest to be VERY SUSPICIOUS of the high ratings - it is hard to believe there are not paid / fraudulent reviews. I didn't like how it felt compared to one I had years ago. Gave it to a friend and he said it lasted a few weeks and then fell apart. This is a great product. I gave it only 4 stars because it wasnt long enough to cover the back and the seat all the way. Weird smell at first from the wood polish or laminate. The beads themselves are little fragile but still decent. The strings got stretched out and after a couple weeks went into a garage sale box. I didn't think it made my seat more comfortable. Always loved these more than the ones with the fabric around the outside. Good deal on them also. I used this for several weeks and it now travels in the trunk of the car. The construction is too soft so it curls up when I'm getting in and out of the car which is very annoying. It twists and turns so has to be straightened when it bunches up under my legs. I really didn't detect much in the way of cooling either. I gave it a fair shot, but I probably won't be using it again. My car has fabric seats, this may work better on leather but I can't vouch for that. We used thse this week for the first time; 3 two hour shifts and the nylon thread or fishing line is coming apart and the beaded seat is falling apart. This week we are going to have to re-sew these ourselves to be able to use them next week on patrol. They are VERY comfortable and help dissapate the heat, but having to re-sew them is a pain in the seat. Don't buy this product until they fix the problem!
