Put a clear piece of transparency film (like the ones used on overhead projectors) in front of the bright LED.  When you draw on the transparency you can control the light’s color, intensity, and shape of the border. Plastic cups look and actually work like a lamp shade. Use a paper cut out to control the shape of your light.  It won’t change the intensity of the light, but you can have a lot of fun projecting fun shapes on your wall! There are so many different types of paper you can use in your project and every one affects the light differently.  Try as many types of paper as you can and see what works best for your project. The trick is to use two layers.  The inner piece should be opaque (like cardboard), add your drawings or cutouts on this layer.  The outer layer is translucent like regular computer paper. You can use cotton balls and bright LEDs to simulate a cloud.  This creates a beautiful light source. Bits modules aren’t meant to be in water, but you can use water in a bag! Place in front of a bright LED and it will create a beautiful reflections and refract the light.
