Black Damask Lace Fabric

These are my completed projects! All the costumes on this page were made entirely by me! Please do not repost these images without including a link back to me. *page currently under construction, more photos will be added soon* Black Taffeta Kirtle & Hat: Based off a portrait of Ana de Mendoza. The dress is made mostly from black taffeta with a stiff canvas lining. It’s trimmed with lace and grey pearls with brooch a brooch placed at the center front. Lace sleeves are tied with silk chiffon sashes. The hat was made, from heavy interfacing and wire. It’s decorated with a silk sash, pearls, and large ostrich feathers. Heinrich Inspired Dress: It’s made from seven yards of foiled sari fabric and embellished with gold sequins. Paired with a homemade golden crown that is decorated with beads and dried roses.

This piece is based off a gown in the painting “The Body of Saint Catherine of Alexandria Borne to Heaven by Angels” which was painted by Heinrich Mucke. Black Lace Dress: 1950s inspired dress made from polyester shantung, point d'esprit netting, and black lace. It’s decorated with black swarovski crystals. Toothless Inspired PJs: Cute little pajama set based off of the Night Fury character design from the HTTYD films. Made from minky and cuddle fleece. Floral Regency Dress: Made mostly from a set of ikea curtains. Red cotton sateen was used to create a contrasting sash and bonnet. Orange Tudor Ensemble: A full ensemble of tudor garments, starting with the foundation garments up to the dress. I’m using portraits from the mid 1500s as reference and currently working on the dress. Orchid Ball Gown: Inspired by the simple yet elegant and interesting shape that orchids have. Based off of my miniature spotted phalaenopsis that decorates my windowsill. Cinderella Inspired Dresses: A series of two short party dresses.

One is based off of the ball gown from the animated movie, and the other off the dress from the live action film.

How Much Do Blinds Cost To Install Silvery Blue Dress: Based off of Madalena’s wedding gown from the show “Galavant” made from brocade and five yards of a matching “mystery” fabric. Paired with jewelry and a crown from ebay. Fluffy Feathered Dress: Inspired by Marchesa dresses. The goal was to make a very lightweight dress with a lot of volume and texture. Made from ruffled jersey and mesh.

Brown Beaded Doublet: A hybrid doublet with some early renaissance and seventeenth century influences. Currently working on matching breeches and a cap. Civil War Era Plaid Dress: A two piece ensemble made from a plaid fashion fabric which vaguely resembles wool. Christmas Angel Costume: Inspired by a christmas angel my family had when I was younger. Made with christmas decorations, organza, tulle, and four meters of LED lights. Fall Flower Fairy: Made from fall flowers with a base of organza and tulle overlay. Halloween Inspired Dress: Made from halloween flowers and decorations with a cotton base and tulle overlay. Diaphanous Flower Dress: Made from spring flowers with an organza base and tulle overlay. Structured Chemise a la reine: A structured take on a famous eighteenth century garment. Made from polyester shantung and trimmed with silk taffeta. It is lightly boned and laces up the back. Isabel De Requesens: A detailed Renaissance ensemble with a linen shift and velvet dress.

The collar of the chemise was embroidered and beaded by hand, as were the cuffs. Damask Dress, Green Cloak: Two dresses and a cloak, the first is inspired by eighteenth century fashion and the other is a more modern design. Both are made from ivory damask with heavily boned bodices, lace up backs, and chiffon trimmings. The cloak is green stretch velvet with boning in the hood and chiffon ruffles. Blue Hooded Taffeta Gown: A dress made from stretch taffeta, with a chiffon front and pearl embellishments. 1837 Blue Floral Day Dress: Based off of an existing dress design. Created from five yards of upholstery fabric, it has a zipper up the back and cotton lining. 1830’s Pleated Day Dress: A dress made from cotton sateen with a pleated bodice. Trimmed with home made piping. The matching bonnet is also made from cotton sateen, with a buckram base. Paired with vintage gloves and pearls. 1840s Pleated Floral Dress: Made from five yards of upholstery fabric, trimmed with tea stained lace purchased on etsy, and pink buttons up the back.

The Christmas Costume: A project made with christmas in mind, the shape is inspired by dresses from the seventeenth century. Made entirely from red brocade with organza puffs and a stretch velvet cloak. Maroon Dress: Quick dress made from six yards of upholstery fabric. It has a lightly boned bodice and zips up the back. There are small chiffon puffs at the shoulder and cuffs. Black and Grey Dress: Made from black velvet and grey chiffon. Trimmed with home made chiffon trim, grey pearls, and black lace. Elsa The Snow Queen: The skirt is silk chiffon draped over peachskin. The bodice is a corset style top overlaid with canvas squares and painted. The cloak is ten yards of stretch mesh embellished with hundreds of thousands of rhinestones, placed one by one. Merida: Made from several yards of green textured wool fleece, with chiffon used to create the puffs. Closes up the back with buttons. The wig is four wigs sewn together, dyed, and curled. Appa PJs: Inspired by everyones favorite bison!

Made from double sided cuddle fabric. Brown and black minky were backed with flannel and stitched on to create the designs. Monarch Collection: A series currently on hiatus. Six designs inspired by monarch butterflies. Red Renaissance Gown: Based off of a sakizo design. Made from cotton sateen, silk satin, and many different trims. Red and Silver Gown: A renaissance inspired dress made from satin and brocade, trimmed with silver lace and fake pearls. *Royal Milk Tea: A cosplay of Sakizo’s design. Made from polyester shantung and Silk taffeta, as well as many yards of cord, lace, and rhinestone trim. Has a boned corset bodice, quilted sleeves, and a large padded bustle. *Napoleon Bonaparte: A cosplay from the game “Eiyuu Senki”. It has a jersey undershirt that closes with snaps, a wool jacket trimmed with dozens of buttons, and a white satin skirt hemmed with horsehair. The vest is interfaced peachskin laid over a corset from ebay. *Vlad Tepes: A cosplay from the game “Eiyuu Senki”.
