Prior to this purchase we had just been using towels for a bathmat since I am very particular... We have had this for 2 years and it has held up great! It is completely in tact, no mold, mildew, or smell. My floor is always dry by the end of the day as opposed to a regular bath mat which never dries. Because it's wood, it's never cold compared to my icy marble floors. This bamboo mat was very stylish and spa like in our bathroom. The bad part about it was water went underneath and there was nothing to absorb it. I use this floor mat as a drying rack for hand washable items in my kitchen. After using it daily the finish is already starting to come off. We love this bamboo floor mat! We use it right outside of our shower and so far it has held up very well, looks great, and feels good to step out onto as well. Not generally in my nature to spend this kind of money for something like this, but I'm glad I did. I use this in a stall shower that has a mildly bumpy floor, some jerk thought... I have owned this less than a month and it has mold growing on the bottom. If it is for the shower it should not grow mold that quickly. perfect for my shower..exactly as advertised .. Very week, but hasn't broken. I have gotten a splinter from it though! But only 1 so far We got it for our RV shower. Sadly the floor sags near the drain. No way to reinforce it without pulling everything in the shower out. This is a preliminary review. I'll update in 3 months after I'm able to assess it's ability to resist mold. I keep a spray bottle with a mixture of vinegar and a little water in it next to the shower to use on this shower mat. So far I have not had an issue with mold. Bought 3 mats for our shower floor.
